2 NAIA PORTERS FIND, TURN OVER LARGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY MISLAID BY PASSENGERS

Two porters at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) are being lauded for turning over large amounts of money that had been mislaid by their owners at the airport.

According to a 24 Oras report on Wednesday, 35-five-year-old Irwin Rommel Diana was putting away pushcarts in bays 5 and 6 of the arrival curbside when he spotted a black wallet.

Diana, who has been a porter at the airport for 14 years, took the wallet to the lost and found section of NAIA Terminal 3, where it was found to contain $7,000, or about P403,800. It was later returned to its American owner.

Before this, over half a million pesos were also returned wholeheartedly by another porter, Victor Perez.

The two will be recognized by the Manila International Airport Authority for their actions. — Sherylin Untalan/BM, GMA Integrated News
